Team Kalamazoo is an organization that provides future student-athletes of Kalamazoo Central High School an opportunity to play a higher level of baseball, in preparation for high school competition. Whereas competing youth teams draw from an expansive area that might reach from the lakeshore all the way to Battle Creek, Team Kalamazoo consists of neighborhood boys that live within Kalamazoo Central's attendance area. All of the players on these teams train year-round to hone their skills for the upcoming season. Fifteen years ago, Coach Spada from Kalamazoo Central High School started with 1 team and now the program is going strong with teams ranging in age from 8 to 18.

Players' families are asked to pay for their portion of the total cost in running the Team Kalamazoo teams. In order to reduce the cost for all players and families, we rely on sponsorships from community businesses like yours that are interested in being involved in the development of our youth through athletics. With Team Kalamazoo, our children will not only learn to be good baseball players, but also positively contributing young men within the community!
